Hi, my name is Femke and I'm a digital designer, illustrator and also fantasy nerd. I started drawing when I was around 4 years old and never stopped. I live in a small apartment in Leusden (The Netherlands). Together with my two Maine Coon cats Tailo and Medivh. They are my little helpers. 

I've always been a dreamer and I think I will never lose this feature. At a young age I started writing my own stories about fantasy worlds and drawing pictures with them. Drawing for me is a way to escape reality. You only focus on the creation of the picture that you have in mind.

Graphic design came at a later age, I studied graphic design on Het grafisch lyceum Utrecht. I loved it and a whole new world openend up for me. I really like to learn about new techniques in the design world and I like to experiment with this as well. You never stop learning and you always have to look around you. I love it. 

When the corona crises had also hit the Netherlands it got me thinking and it also gave me more free time. So I decided to go for it and finally open up my Etsy store! It is something I wanted to do for a few years now but never had the time for it. I’m doing this purely for fun on the side as a hobby, because I love drawing and I really want to share my passion.

I mostly work digital on my computer (Photoshop CC and Cintiq 24HD) or my Ipad (Procreate and Apple Pencil). I'm still learning a lot about all the possible ways of creating products like stickers and tote bags but I truly love it!

Drawing and graphic design aren't my only passion, I really like to make costumes too. When I have the time I will work on my own costumes and characters for Elfia. This is a fantasy fair held in the Netherlands two times a year. I always look forward to this event. The people are so nice and the music, food and inspiration is great. It's my home away from home.
